Broiled Honey Grapefruit

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Preheat broiler to 400º F.
  2. Cut grapefruit in half then cut around the edges and sections of each grapefruit half.
  3. Drizzle the top of each half with a teaspoon of honey and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon.
  4. Broil grapefruit for 6 minutes or until it starts to brown.
  5. Serve hot.

Helpful hints

  • Sectioning the grapefruit before broiling makes it easier to eat.
  • Grapefruit and grapefruit juice are known to interact with some medications. Check with your healthcare team to be sure grapefruit is safe to include in your diet.
